Injection Molding Parameters

Processing Item Recommended Range / Operating Points Notes & Explanations
Pre‑drying Mandatory drying. Dry at 120‑140 °C for 3‑5 hours. Critical for successful processing. Moisture content shall be controlled below 0.02%‑0.05%, to prevent molecular‑weight reduction caused by hydrolysis and defects such as silver streaks and bubbles.
Barrel Temperature Melt temperature range: 310‑330 °C. Key processing parameter. Low temperature leads to poor flowability; excessive temperature causes material degradation. Short residence time inside barrel is required.
Mold Temperature 130‑150 °C. High mold temperature reduces internal stress, improves surface gloss and dimensional stability, and ensures sufficient crystallization.
Injection Pressure & Speed Medium‑to‑high injection pressure; medium‑high injection‑speed recommended. Good flowability supports fast filling, especially suitable for thin‑wall articles.
Back Pressure Proper back‑pressure (5‑15 bar suggested). Promotes homogeneous plasticization and degassing.
Screw Speed Medium rotation speed. Avoid excessive shear force which may break glass‑fiber and trigger local overheating.
